It was all smiles at 91快活林 recently when two of our children鈥檚 homes were awarded a 鈥楪ood鈥� rating.

Swinderby Children鈥檚 Home and Acacia Children鈥檚 Home each received a 鈥楪ood鈥� accreditation following a visit by inspectors.

Ofsted praised the overall experience and progress of the young people we support, and commended the effectiveness of leaders and managers at the homes.

The reports also spoke highly of how well our children and young people are helped and protected.

Amongst the positive comments we received were:

鈥淪ocial workers and families speak highly about the care provided鈥�

鈥淐hildren are encouraged to be part of the local community鈥�

鈥淭here is good communication and good transition planning鈥�

鈥淪taff ensure children鈥檚 needs are well met鈥�

鈥淐hildren are given the opportunity to develop their independence鈥�

鈥淭he nurturing relationships between the staff and children are a key strength of the home鈥�

鈥淐hildren are supported to enjoy shared activities with their peers鈥�

鈥淪taff spend quality time engaging with children to make sure that they have fun and learn new skills鈥�

鈥淩egular and effective communication with families and partner agencies helps children to settle quickly鈥�

鈥淐hildren are encouraged to share their views and make choices鈥�

鈥淪taff are well trained and are provided with regular, effective supervision鈥�
